Individuals working as nail technicians who provide pedicure and manicure services are required to hold a Certificate III in Nail Technology. This qualification equips the nail technician with a diverse set of skills, including the application of gel and acrylic nail enhancements. In addition, a nail technician must be capable of exercising judgement and discretion when consulting with clients and applying nail care services and products. As a nail technician, you may be employed by or own a nail care company, or work as a self-employed technician in a nail salon and manage your own stations.
